One household budget, straight from your ANZ, ING or NAB statement.
Download a CSV from ANZ, ING or NAB and upload it. Penny turns every EFTPOS purchase and Osko payment into a line the whole household can read. She asks before filing anything she is unsure of, and either of you can edit or delete a row.
Free for 14 days, no card needed.
Penny: I read past Osko Payment To. It is your shared rent.

ANZ, ING and NAB, the way they actually export.
Two of the three skip the header row entirely, and ING puts a minus sign inside its own Debit column. Each layout has a test file the importer runs against.
ANZ
CSVNo header row and only three columns: date, a signed amount, and the description, with two-digit years like 02/03/26.
Built and tested against this bank's export format, from a published sample or a working importer.
ING
CSVDebit and Credit columns, except the Debit column carries its own minus sign. Mitten reads it the right way round either way.
Built and tested against this bank's export format, from a published sample or a working importer.
NAB
CSVNo header row, seven columns, dates written like 05 Mar 26, and the running balance last.
Built and tested against this bank's export format, from a published sample or a working importer.
ANZ
PDFThe Access Advantage statement, with the year printed once above the first row and never on a row, and page totals shaped exactly like transactions.
Layout rebuilt from public documentation rather than a published sample.
Bank not listed? Upload the statement anyway. Penny reads PDFs from most banks directly, and if yours does not go through, send it to support@mitten.money and we will look at it.
No partnership with any bank, and nothing here is certified or endorsed by one. Bank names belong to their owners. The rows in our test files are made up; no real customer statement is used.
Day first, two-digit years, and plenty of Osko.

The Consumer Data Right works. It is also being scaled back.
Since July 2020, Australians have been able to ask their bank to share their data with an accredited app, starting with the four major banks and covering transaction accounts and cards. If you are comfortable with an app connected to your bank, the scheme is there to use.
In March 2025 the government announced a narrower scheme, citing high compliance costs and limited uptake, and cut the data period from seven years to two. Mitten does not depend on any of it. It reads the statement you upload, and that works the same at any Australian bank.
The timeline, as of October 2026
- Jul 2020
The Consumer Data Right goes live for banking: deposit and transaction accounts, and credit and debit cards, starting with the four major banks.
- Mar 2025
The government announces a narrower scheme, citing compliance costs and limited consumer uptake, and cuts the data held and shared from 7 years to 2.
- Mid 2026
The same announcement schedules an expansion into non-bank lending from mid-2026.
Rent over Osko, the mortgage from a joint account.
A couple paying the mortgage from a joint account and a share house sending rent over Osko want the same thing: one picture of the shared money, with nobody stuck being the bookkeeper. Mitten holds up to five members on one plan, each with their own login. Our guides to splitting bills and joint versus separate accounts walk through the usual setups.
Several well-known budgeting apps built their bank connections for other markets. Mitten never connects to a bank, so it works with any bank whose statement you can download. The compare page sets out how that differs from bank sync.
Budgeting without bank sync
