A household budget in dirhams, built from the statements you already get.
Download a statement from ADCB, Emirates NBD or any UAE bank and upload it. Penny sorts every line into one budget in dirhams that the whole household shares. She asks before filing anything she is unsure of, and either of you can edit or delete a row.

Penny: These are all dirhams, and FUND TRANSFER RENT is your rent.

Open finance in the UAE is arriving bank by bank.
The Central Bank of the UAE issued its Open Finance Regulation in 2024. Participation is mandatory for the institutions it supervises, and the rules come into effect in phases. Al Tareq, the national platform, began rolling out in early 2026, with banks joining one at a time.
Reaching every bank and every app will take a while. Every UAE bank already gives its customers a statement, though, so Mitten works today whichever bank your household uses, without a login to any of them.

ADCB and Emirates NBD statements, tested.
ADCB is the one UAE bank we found offering a true comma-separated export, and its PDF e-statement is in our tests too. So is Emirates NBD's statement layout.
ADCB
CSVSix quoted lines of account summary above the header, a time of day in the Posting Date, and 0.00 written in whichever of Debit or Credit a row does not use. The summary lines are dropped, and they are not counted as skipped rows.
Built and tested against this bank's export format, from a published sample or a working importer.
ADCB
PDFThe e-statement, where every row prints both a debit and a credit figure and one of them is always 0.00.
Layout rebuilt from public documentation rather than a published sample.
Emirates NBD
PDFOne unsigned amount per row and a running balance, so the direction of each payment shows only in how the balance moves. Look over those rows once they are in and edit any that went the wrong way.
Layout rebuilt from public documentation rather than a published sample.
Banking with Emirates NBD or Mashreq? Their downloads come as spreadsheet files (XML and XLSX) rather than CSV. Mitten reads CSV and PDF, so upload the PDF statement instead.
Bank not listed? Upload the statement anyway. Penny reads PDFs from most banks directly, and if yours does not go through, send it to support@mitten.money and we will look at it.
No partnership with any bank, and nothing here is certified or endorsed by one. Bank names belong to their owners. The rows in our test files are made up; no real customer statement is used.

For households that share a home, and sometimes two currencies.
A couple or a family sharing a home might split rent, school fees and the weekly shop while each keeps their own accounts, sometimes in more than one currency. Mitten keeps them in one household, up to five members on one plan, with everyone reading the same numbers in dirhams. Our guides on how couples budget together and splitting bills are written for that kind of house.
Bank-linking budgeting apps tend to connect only to banks in a handful of countries. The compare page sets out how a statement-based budget differs, and budgeting without bank sync explains the monthly statement routine.
